No, the first generation of similar products is already in the market for more than 8 years, but we enhance it using the latest technology.

Q2    Why we do not call i-palm as a car alarm product?
The burglar (alarm) unit is a small part of the main circuit only, this Intelligent control unit (i-palm) is mainly to provide wireless interactive control and monitoring, we call this M2M Technology. It can also combine with latest RFID, Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Max Technology. Hose products are widely used in today Automation Control Industries.

Q3    What is the meaning of M2M?
Wireless communication method of Machine to Machine, Machine to Mobile, Machine to Man, Man to Machine.

Q4    How long does it take to do the i-palm installation?
30 mins to 2 hours depending on the model type and accessories. Testing will be provided upon completion of wiring job.

Q5    Must I book in advance for installation?
It is always better to book in advance in case that the car model needs to take longer installation period or pre-study.

Q6    Is there and warranty for i-palm?
Yes, we provide 1 year hardware one to one exchange limited warranty.

Q9    Can user ask any installer to install i-palm?
Our island wide authorized workshops are able to provide installation and configuration. Although its basic connection is similar to normal car alarm, but only our installers are able to provide configuration and user training, this include customization via SMS & web configuration.

Q10  Can user install i-palm to any car?
Yes, any vehicle can be install except remote start engine functions, some car model using smart key for immobilizer are not able to install it, it relates to the CAR ECU – Electronics Control Unit (the car’s computer) programming. But our well trained installers are able to provide professional installation.

Q11  Will i-palm (intelligent Control Unit) be attack by any Computer Virus?
No, i-palm is also an individual ECU unit similar to Car ECU, all programming are embedded, so no user-end software is needed. That means software virus will not be the issue forever.

Q12  What are the consumable/maintenance items the end-user needs to take care?
SIM card, Unit backup battery (1 year duration), keypad battery and remote control key battery.

Q13  User should take care of which items from the SIM card?
Make sure user prepaid card has sufficient balance value, top up if necessary and do not forget to pay SIM card bill if using normal monthly postpaid plan. Caller ID no display is advisable if car phone unit is installed.

Q14  How to ensure that GSM signal is strong enough when user parks their car at underground car park?
Try to call into alarm unit on the spot or you may make phone call from in-car phone to your mobile phone set.

Q15  Why the SIM card slot is not designed for easy access by user to change the SIM card anytime?
It will defeat the purpose of security. Our unit is designed for security & protection use, so it is always designed for difficult to access and temper-proof.

Q16  Can user change the Unit backup battery by themselves?
Not advisable, warranty will be void if serial number labels on the hardware are tampered with. User should send it to i-palm authorized workshop or i-palm Service Centre for battery replacement.

Q17  Does M2M i-palm provide any hardware warranty extension?
Yes, i-palm have user worry-free warranty extension package which include hardware’s and services.

Q18  Why the Remote-Start engine accessories price are different for different car make?
i-palm have to customize for different car make kits, so no fixed design for all model and it is not possible too.

Q19  Can i-palm upgrade to higher security level of keyless entry and operation?
Yes, this product can be integrated with biometric solutions including iris, sound and fingerprint remote control once the upgrade kits are ready.

Q20  User do not wish to install anti-rib and anti-hijack kits now, but if user is going to drive the car out to another country, can i-palm upgrade to the extra protection immediately?
Yes, i-palm can add in the extra sensor and remote off engine function. The inbuilt panic button is also ready for this method (Anti-hijack).

Yes, user is able to subscribe to this service once it is ready.
